Job summary

Hotel Equities is seeking a friendly Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team in Minnesota. The role focuses on keeping guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas clean and welcoming, ensuring guest comfort and operational efficiency.

You will support brand standards, manage supplies, and respond to guest requests with professionalism while working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This position offers hourly pay with weekend and holiday flexibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or hotel operations preferred but not required.
• Must follow written and verbal instructions and cleanliness standards.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Professional courteous guest-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas, and other spaces per hotel standards.
• Make beds, change linens, replenish supplies, dust, vacuum, sweep, mop and sanitize surfaces.
• Inspect areas for cleanliness or maintenance issues and report promptly.
• Respond to guest requests with courtesy and urgency.
• Handle guest belongings and hotel property per procedures.
• Maintain carts, supplies, and work areas in organized condition.
• Follow chemical handling, sanitation, safety, and infection-control procedures.
• Assist with deep cleaning and special projects as assigned.
• Communicate room status and maintenance needs across departments.
• Support team to meet productivity, quality, and guest-satisfaction standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Purpose

The Housekeeping position is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and public areas in accordance with hotel and brand standards. This position supports a positive guest experience through attention to detail, efficiency, cleanliness, and responsive service.

What You'll Do

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas, and other assigned spaces according to hotel standards.
• Make beds, change linens, replenish supplies, dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize surfaces.
• Inspect assigned areas for cleanliness, damage, or maintenance concerns and report issues promptly.
• Respond courteously to guest requests and special housekeeping needs.
• Handle guest belongings and hotel property responsibly and according to company procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, supplies, and work areas in an organized condition.
• Follow proper chemical handling, sanitation, safety, and infection-control procedures.
• Assist with deep cleaning and special projects as assigned.
• Communicate room status and maintenance needs to appropriate hotel departments.
• Support the team in meeting productivity, quality, and guest satisfaction standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday.
• Lift, carry, and maneuver housekeeping supplies and equipment.
• Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Work with cleaning chemicals and in varying temperatures as required.
