Job summary

Peregrine Hospitality in the United States is hiring a housekeeping associate to maintain guest rooms and public areas to hotel standards.

You will perform cleaning, stocking, deep cleaning, and respond to guest requests with high-quality service, while following safety guidelines and 4 Keys service standards.

This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare guest rooms to hotel standards.
  • Vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitize all surfaces and floors per OSHA guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas.
  • Stock and manage housekeeping cart; restock daily.
  • Complete deep cleaning and scheduled projects.
  • Report maintenance issues; manage lost and found items.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests with high-quality service.
  • Follow safety, security, and hotel procedures; adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
  • Know and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, and 4 Keys standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Job description

  • Clean and prepare guest rooms by properly making beds, restocking supplies, replacing linens and towels, and ensuring bathrooms and amenities meet hotel standards.
  • Vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitize all surfaces and floors, including walls, windows, fixtures, furniture, and sliding doors using proper cleaning chemicals per OSHA guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas including guest rooms, hallways, stairwells, vending areas, foyers, and linen closets.
  • Stock and manage housekeeping cart with necessary supplies, tools, and linen throughout the shift; return and restock at end of day.
  • Complete deep cleaning and scheduled projects to uphold cleanliness and presentation standards in rooms and public areas.
  • Report maintenance issues and remove unneeded room items (e.g., rollaways, cribs) as needed; turn in lost and found items to the supervisor.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, anticipating needs and delivering high-quality service.
  • Follow all safety, security, and hotel procedures while working efficiently with other departments and adhering to attendance and reliability standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, 4 Keys service standards, and safety and security procedures.
  • Perform all additional duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds frequently to assist guests
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Push and pull carts weighing up to 150 pounds
  • Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
  • Ability to bend and twist, push, and pull, stoop, and kneel
  • Ascend and descend a ladder
