Job Summary

The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring high levels of guest service and satisfaction by cleaning and supplying rooms, laundry and public areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• - Provide top quality service and meets guests needs
• - Thoroughly clean all assigned guestrooms to include: changing linens, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing, washing and replenishing supplies
• - Thoroughly clean public space, work areas and storage areas
• - Maintain room quality based on hotel and brand standards
• - Follow standard procedures for acceptance and security of guest lost and found items
• - Ensure master keys and located guestroom keys are properly secured
• - Ability to work well with a diverse group of people

Additional Duties

• - Attend monthly department meetings
• - Complete projects as determined by management
• - Assist other coworkers and departments when necessary
• - Actively seeks out other tasks when current work is complete
• - Participate in ongoing education and training
• - Other duties as assigned

- Reasoning Ability- Must have developed reasoning skills to be able to: apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Physical Requirements

• - Non-slip shoes are recommended
• - Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check
• - Requires walking and standing to a significant degree, reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, stooping, handling and seeing
• - Lifting up to 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying or transporting of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• - Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Potential exposure to paint, solvents, cleaning chemicals and/or fumes
