Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Anchorage is seeking a dedicated Room Attendant/Housekeeper to maintain clean, comfortable guest rooms and public areas in our hotel. You will follow SOPs and work with a supportive housekeeping team to ensure guests have a welcoming stay.

The role includes a flexible schedule with shift work, weekends and holidays. Prior cleaning experience is preferred, and opportunities to grow within Hilton properties are available.

Qualifications

• 1 year cleaning experience preferred.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and public areas.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and departmental policies.
• Assist in other housekeeping areas as needed.
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor and communicate with staff.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, and departmental policies and liaison with other managers as appropriate.
• Respond to guest requests, inquiries, and complaints with accurate information and with a positive attitude to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Supervise the appropriate selection of rooms, based on guest needs, and instructions as per the Director of Housekeeping.
• Maintain Housekeeping supplies.
• Conducts property inspections at the start of each shift, beginning with the main lobby, guest corridors and elevator landings, and public space.
• Provide constant and consistent communications with other Housekeeping staff and other departments as needed.
• Ability to work well under pressure patiently and tactfully and diplomacy to effectively resolve guest complaints.
• Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs.
• Assist in another area of the department as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
