  • Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s; ability to work with money and weight, volume, and distance units.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions and to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • The physical demands include standing/walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and various movements; vision requirements and exposure to typical work environment conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Loading cart according to standards; undergo training to learn policies and procedures.
  • Provide basic housekeeping duties: change sheets, towels, restock amenities, vacuum, mop, dust, and remove trash timely.
  • Report guest property found and any property damage.
  • Work with a team or individually to accomplish goals.
  • Clean and restock service rooms and ensure rooms meet standards.
  • Protect and maintain equipment.
  • Perform other duties as required.

SUMMARY

Nestled on the shores of Lake Lanier lies Lanier Island Resort – an island destination spread out across 1200 acres unlike any resort in Georgia. Our property features 282 guest rooms, indoor/outdoor meeting spaces, golf course, multiple dining options, nature trails, and other points of interest. As a Room Attendant, you’ll be responsible for delivering the utmost in guest satisfaction and helping to create memorable experiences for all of our guests. You’ll ensure guest accommodations are cleaned to the set standards, prepare your carts for the needs of the day, and report and issues or property damage. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Loading cart according to standards set by Heath Department
  • Undergo training to learn established policies and procedures
  • Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing sheets, changing and arranging towels, restocking amenities/supplies, vacuuming, moping, dusting and rearranging rooms, and removing trash in a timely manner
  • Report and return any guest property found in rooms while rendering service
  • Report cases of property damage
  • Work with a team or individually to accomplish goals
  • Clean and restock service room
  • Ensure all rooms are cared for according to standards
  • Protect and maintain equipment
  • Performs other duties as required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
