Job summary

Chamberlin Roofing & Waterproofing in Abilene, TX is seeking a full-time helper to assist with roofing installation and related tasks. Responsibilities include transporting materials, promoting safety, and working both independently and as part of a crew.

As skills grow, you will help train other team members and take on additional duties as assigned. The role requires 18+ years old, a valid driver’s license, ability to work 40+ hours per week with OT, and work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Experience in work, sports or organizations that demonstrates work ethic and commitment.
• Preferred experience in construction focusing on roofing, waterproofing and sheet metal.

Position Requirements

Experience: Work, sports or organization experience that demonstrates work ethic and commitment. Preferred experience in construction with a focus on roofing, waterproofing and sheet metal

Abilities/Requirements:

• Must be 18 years old


• Must have a valid driver's license


• Must be authorized to work in the United States


• Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week and overtime when necessary


• Must be able to pass a “fit for duty” exam (lifting, bending, climbing, squatting, etc.)


• Must have reliable transportation to get to differing job locations


• Must be looking for full time employment with a desire to advance within the company


• Must be able to climb scaffolding, ladders, starts, etc. (2 to 70 story buildings)


• Must be able to work in outside weather conditions: intense heat and cold conditions


• Must be able to work in elevated locations (not afraid of heights)


• Must be able to work on mobile elevated platforms and swing stages


• Must be able to lift 50lbs+


• Must be able to stand, walk, and kneel for long periods of time

Education Required:

High school diploma or GED encouraged but not required.
