Job summary

Advanced Roofing is seeking a Service Superintendent to help lead the Service Department, oversee field operations for roofing repair and maintenance, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time project delivery in Tampa, Florida.

The role requires strong leadership, a minimum of five years in roofing field work and OSHA 10, and the ability to coordinate labor, materials, and subcontractors while maintaining client satisfaction and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years field experience and roof repair.
• OSHA 10 safety training.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to train staff and enforce safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Enforce branch objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy.
• Monitor quantity and quality of work performed by the branch.
• Provide leadership to foremen—fostering safety, teamwork and discipline—resulting in efficient and professional roof system installation
• Represent the company professionally with customers, personnel and the public
• Effectively manage all aspects of production to meet company and project goals
• Assist and help diagnose difficult leaks.
• Provide takeoffs and proposals for customer requests.
• Visit job sites daily
• Conduct daily safety audits
• Train field staff in safety, work skills and efficiency
• Provide ongoing feedback to field technicians regarding job performance
• Resolve complains and grievances; assist with discipline when necessary
• Discuss opportunities for professional development
• Conduct annual performance reviews
• Ensure production and quality goals
• Maintain understanding of contract information for jobs
• Track labor hours and production against stated goals
• Schedule materials, equipment and deliveries, paying special attention to using inventoried materials
• Monitor material usage, minimize waste, anticipate shortages and order materials as needed
• Coordinate, supervise and manage subcontractors
• Monitor quality of installations
