Job summary

Advanced Roofing, Inc. is seeking a Roofing Service Leadman for full-time, on-site work in Sanford, FL. You will locate leaks, perform roof repairs, and coordinate with customers and general contractors to manage larger scopes of work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial roofing experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, not required.
• Minimum 18 years of age; valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft; ability to lift 100 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Locate leaks and perform professional roof repairs safely and timely.
• Complete defined scope projects and preventative maintenance.
• Know and work with various roof systems (BUR, Modified Bitumen, EPDM, TPO/PVC, Tile, Shingles, Coating, Metal).
• Make repair decisions and explain findings to customers and GCs.
• Maintain company equipment and keep trucks stocked and clean.
• Complete daily assignments with proper paperwork.

Key Responsibilities

• The Roofing Service Leadman is responsible for locating leaks and performing professional quality roof repairs in a safe and timely manner, while treating customers and fellow employees with courtesy and respect.
• Job duties also include the completion of defined scope projects and preventative maintenance activities.
• Must have knowledge of all roof systems (B.U.R, Modified Bitumen, EPDM, TPO/PVC Membranes, Tile, Shingles, Coating, Metal Roof etc.)
• Responsible for making decision on what to repair and how to fix the leak,
• Responsible for using the different apps and how to check into the portal.
• Responsible for all paperwork and communications with customers.
• Responsible for when it is safe to open the roof because of the weather.
• Responsible for communicating with General Contractor for larger scope of work.
• Communicate with customer about what he has found and his opinion about the roof and how to fix it.
• Responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of all company issued equipment such as vehicles, power tools, phones, hand tools, etc.
• Maintain trucks to ensure they are always stocked and cleaned inside and out.
• Utilize industry standard manufacturer approved repair techniques.
• Complete daily assignments in a timely manner with completion of proper paperwork

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
• Successful Pre-Employment Drug and Agility tests
• Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall
• Ability to lift 100 LBS or more
• Ability to withstand demands of extreme weather conditions and high temperatures
• Capable of bending over most of the day and working on knees excessively throughout the day
• Able to pass a government background check per project requirements
• Knowledge of basic roofing tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Includes exposure to contaminants.
