Job summary

MGC Roofing is hiring Roofing Laborers in Sanford, FL. This full-time position supports the Service Department as part of an Employee-owned company. You will assist the lead technician with roof repairs on BUR, Modified Bitumen, EPDM, TPO/PVC, coatings, and slope systems, and be part of a team committed to safety and high-quality workmanship.

Rate starts at $19+ per hour, depending on experience. Reliable transportation to work daily is required, and they offer health benefits, paid

Qualifications

• Own hand tools required.
• Must be reliable to arrive to work daily.
• Willingness to pass background check and pre‑employment drug test.
• Not afraid of heights; able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Team-oriented and able to interact with customers and coworkers.
• Maintain a clean and well-stocked work truck.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead technician in locating leaks and performing roof repairs across various roof systems (BUR, Modified Bitumen, EPDM, TPO/PVC, coatings, tiles/shingles/metal).
• Maintain and service roof systems as needed.
• Keep a clean, well-stocked and organized truck.
• Adhere to safety protocols and work well with others.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Job Duties:

1) Responsible for assisting lead technician in locating leaks and performing roof repairs and
maintenance on all roof systems including but not limited to cold applied BUR, torch applied
Modified Bitumen, EPDM, Heat Welded TPO/PVC Membranes, Coatings, and slope
(tile/shingles/metal).

2) Must have reliable transportation to get to work each day.

3) Successful background check, pre-employment drug test, and physical.

4) Must not be afraid of heights.

5) Lift up to 50 pounds.

6) Ability to work well with others and be team-oriented.

7) Maintain professional interaction with all customers and fellow employees.

8) Assist the lead technician in keeping a clean well-stocked truck.

9) Computer and Smartphone skills are extremely helpful.

10) Possess good judgment, attention to detail, and follow instructions.

12) Be reliable, and dependable, show up on time, and adhere to our safety protocol.

Full-time position

Compensation will be based on experience and paid by the hour.

Rate: $19+ per hour based on experience.
