Job summary

T & S ROOFING SYSTEMS , INC. is looking for a hands-on roofing helper to assist with tear-outs, installations, repairs, and maintenance at various job sites. You will handle material loading, surface preparation, and cleanup while supporting experienced roofers and crews.

The role requires reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work outdoors at heights in varying weather. Training will cover safety, PPE, and safe operation of basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist roofers with tear-outs, installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Remove roofing materials during tear-out operations.
• Prepare and clean roof surfaces before installation.
• Load, unload, carry, and stage roofing materials, tools, and equipment.
• Dispose of debris and maintain a clean work area.
• Set up ladders, tools, and equipment at job sites.
• Safely operate basic hand and power tools with training.
• Support experienced crew members with roofing tasks.
• Protect buildings and surroundings from debris during operations.
• Follow safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
• Follow foremen and supervisors' instructions.
• Perform other roofing and general labor duties as assigned.

Description

• Assist roofers with tear-outs, installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems.
• Remove existing roofing materials during tear-out operations, including shingles, membranes, insulation, flashing, fasteners, and other materials as directed.
• Assist with preparing and cleaning roof surfaces before the installation of new roofing materials.
• Load, unload, carry, and stage roofing materials, tools, and equipment.
• Collect and properly dispose of debris and materials generated during tear-outs and roofing operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the job.
• Assist with setting up ladders, tools, equipment, and materials at job sites.
• Safely operate basic hand and power tools after receiving appropriate training and authorization.
• Assist experienced roofers and crew members with roofing tasks as directed.
• Help protect the building, landscaping, vehicles, and surrounding areas from debris or damage during roofing operations.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including requirements for personal protective equipment (PPE) and fall protection.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions, injuries, damaged equipment, or other job-site concerns to the Foreman or Supervisor.
• Follow instructions and work cooperatively with Foremen, Supervisors, roofers, and other crew members.
• Perform other roofing, construction, and general labor duties as assigned.
