Job summary

Octopus Energy Group is expanding its Solar PV installation team across the UK. We’re seeking a Roofers labourer/Roofers mate to support the installation crew, move materials, assist electricians, and uphold safety at height.

In return, you’ll receive a £30,000 base salary with overtime, a £2,500 annual bonus based on KPIs, a company vehicle, a £25 weekly lunch allowance, and share options. London weighting applies for staff within M25, and training-driven mentoring is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Roofers labourer/Roofers mate.
• Experience on slate/tile pitched roofs.
• Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques and safety practices.
• Experience working at height.

Responsibilities

• Move and lift roofing materials.
• Run cables/conduit.
• Grind tiles and prepare surfaces.
• Assist Electrician in Solar installation.
• Maintain site safety practices.

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Roofer/Roofers mate to join our ever-growing Solar PV installation team across the UK!

What you'll do

• Work includes but is not limited to; the movement & lifting of materials, running cables/conduit, grinding tiles, waste removal and assisting the Electrician in Solar installation.

What you'll need:

• Proven experience as a Roofers labourer/Roofers mate
• Experience working on slate/tile pitched roofs
• Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques & safety practices
• Experience working at height
