Job summary

TRINITY GENERAL CONTRACTING LLC in Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking an energetic Roofer to join our team. You will cover roofs with shingles, slate, wood, or other materials, and perform sealing, insulating, or soundproofing as needed.

Qualifications

• Past experience as a roofer preferred.
• Experience with hand-held and power tools.
• Experience working with all types of building materials.
• Must be able to climb ladders and repeatedly lift 40+ pounds.
• Ability to work in extreme environments (hot sun, freezing temps, crawl spaces).

Responsibilities

• Inspect problem roofs to determine repair procedures.
• Remove snow, water, or debris from roofs before applying roofing materials.
• Set up scaffolding to provide safe access to roofs.
• Cover roofs with shingles, slate, or other materials.
• Secure flashing and edges to make joints watertight.
• Estimate materials and labor for roofing jobs.
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate scope and status of work.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect problem roofs to determine the best repair procedures
• Remove snow, water, or debris from roofs prior to applying roofing materials
• Set up scaffolding to provide safe access to roofs
• Cover roofs with appropriate materials (shingles, slate, etc.)
• Cement or nail flashing strips of metal or shingle over joints to make them watertight
• Estimate materials and labor required to complete roofing jobs
• Interact professionally with customers and effectively communicate about the scope and status of work

• Past experience as a roofer preferred
• Experience with the use of hand-held and power tools
• Experience working with all types of building materials
• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, comfortably lift 40+ pounds repetitively, and work on your feet for long periods of time
• Ability to work in extreme environments, e.g. hot sun, below freezing, crawl spaces, etc.
