Solar Solution is seeking a Roof Site Surveyor to support our solar projects across Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. You will travel to job sites, assess rooftops, take measurements, and verify proposed layouts to ensure feasibility.

Prior roofing or site survey experience is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required. The role offers full-time hours, a Monday–Friday schedule, mileage reimbursement if using a personal vehicle, and opportunities for growth in a collaborative team

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and determine optimal rooftop solar designs.
• Going on roof and structural analysis site visits in the field.
• Climbing onto rooftops with ladders to evaluate a roof's quality, conduct measurements, take pictures, and verify the proposed solar layout on roof works.
• Accessing attic spaces in homes to obtain measurements and dimensions of roof structure (trusses and rafters).
• Conducting surveys for specialty projects which may include battery storage, carports, EV chargers, and awnings.

Job Title: Roof Site Surveyor

Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule:Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Location: 3031 8th St NE, Washington, DC 20017

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Roof Site Surveyor to join our growing team. This position is critical to ensure that our proposed solar projects are feasible to installed on homes and businesses in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in maintaining an organized schedule, and enjoy being on the road daily traveling to job sites, we encourage you to apply. Our ideal candidate would have previous experience as a roofer or solar site surveyor.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and determine optimal rooftop solar designs
• Going on roof and structural analysis site visits in the field.
• Climbing onto rooftops with ladders to evaluate a roof's quality, conduct measurements, take pictures, and verify the proposed solar layout on roof works.
• Accessing attic spaces in homes to obtain measurements and dimensions of roof structure (trusses and rafters).
• Conducting surveys for specialty projects which may include battery storage, carports, EV chargers, and awnings.

Qualifications

• Ability to climb ladders outdoors up to 3 stories high to access roofs.
• Ability to climb ladders indoors to access attic spaces.
• Ability to maneuver in tight attic spaces to get measurements.
• Previous experience in construction, roofing, or engineering design preferred.
• Knowledge on, or willingness to learn how to patch drywall hole if ever needed to open a hole in a wall or ceiling.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
