Qualifications

• 1 year of drafting experience in a construction or building materials-related industry required.
• 1+ year of roof/floor truss design experience required.
• Experience with Mitek software strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design residential roof and floor systems and produce layouts.
• Discuss changes and corrections with engineers, architects, and contractors.
• Prepare roof truss and truss joist floor layouts.

Skills

Proficient technical writing skills

Excellent salesmanship and communication skills

Proficient in AUTOCAD

PC Literate with Microsoft Office products

Education

High School or GED

Associate’s Degree in civil, architectural or design related field

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
