Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an experienced automotive engineer to contribute to full vehicle development cycles across aerospace-adjacent domains. You will lead component and system design efforts, perform packaging analyses, and create CAD models and drawings for release.

Collaboration with CAE, suppliers, and cross-functional teams is essential. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in automotive engineering, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency with CATIA CAD tools, GD&T, and DFMA.

Qualifications

• 5y+ automotive/commercial vehicle engineering experience.
• CAD experience with CATIA 3Dx/3D Experience or V5.
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• DFMA and serviceability principles.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Define component and system engineering requirements.
• Create and develop engineering designs and concepts.
• Perform packaging, tolerance, and feasibility studies.
• Develop CAD models, drawings, and engineering releases.
• Support CAE, prototype builds, testing, sourcing and validation.
• Resolve design, manufacturing, quality, and launch issues.
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Manage engineering changes and documentation.
• Proven background in concept-to-production vehicle development and problem-solving
