Job summary

Sheridan Brimfield, a CJK Group company, is hiring a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for our night shift. Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues on production equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and ladder logic.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance using tools and test equipment.
• Communicate effectively, work with others, and follow safety procedures.
• Must have some printing experience and be able to work 10–12 hour shifts.
• Willing to adapt to changes and take initiative on projects.
• Minimum one year of press room experience in printing is preferred.
• Interpret and convert units of measure as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues on production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and ladder logic to isolate faults.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance using a full range of hand/power tools and test equipment.
• Collaborate with production to prioritize work orders, support changeovers, and reduce repeat failures.
• Document maintenance activities and recommend reliability improvements.
• Maintain paper roll inventory on presses and set up splicer for continuous feed.
• Participate in make-ready and hang plates, fill ink fountains, and conduct conductivity checks.
• Enter required shop floor data into computer and operate as second press operator when required.
• May handle hazardous waste as part of daily job functions.

What You’ll Do

Schedule

• Front Half Days (FHD) Sunday, Monday Tuesday and e/o Wednesday 8a - 8p

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain paper roll inventory on presses.
• Ordercorrect quantity and type of paper.
• Shift paper rolls and locate on press.
• Set up splicer for continuous feed.
• Participate in make - ready and hang plates.
• Fill ink fountains and checks conductivity.
• Performs initial check out.
• Act as second press operator where required.
• Enter required shop floor data into computer.
• May handle hazardous waste as part of daily job functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Monitor/Assess performance of yourself and others to make improvements or take corrective actions
• Ability to perform basic math functions
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal
• Must be dependable, reliable and responsible in fulfilling obligations
• Must work well with others
• Must be flexible and open to change when needed
• Able to follow instructions and make decisions
• Must be proven self-starter to complete projects/work orders
• Must have some printing experience
• The ability to work 10-to-12-hour shifts

PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have some printing experience
• Minimum 1-year Press Room experience
• Ability to interpret and utilize various units of measure and their conversions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of standing while setting up and operating equipment
• Continuously bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
