Job summary

Rockingham County Virginia is seeking a dedicated Roll-off Truck Operator to haul refuse and recyclables at the landfill. Responsibilities include operating a roll-off truck, performing pre-trip checks, and maintaining equipment in a dynamic outdoor setting.

Related experience with this equipment is required; CDL is preferred but not required. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with direct supervision by the Landfill Superintendent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Related experience operating this type of equipment.
• CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate roll-off truck to haul refuse and recyclables within the landfill site.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain trucks and equipment as needed.
• Record and document hauls.
• Perform related tasks as required.
• Assist with hauling recyclables from other sites if CDL driver is needed.
