Job summary

SMS group is seeking a Technician in Osceola, Arkansas to perform daily tasks in the roll shop, including housekeeping, chocking/dechocking rolls, grinding rolls and overhead crane movement. The position rotates 4 on 4 off, with day (6 am–6 pm) or night (6 pm–6 am) shifts.

Candidates should have a High School/Equivalent education; 2–3 years related experience preferred; crane and forklift certifications preferred with in-house training provided.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Two to Three years of experience in a specific equipment function preferred; no supervisory experience required.
• Crane and forklift certifications preferred – in house training provided to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain housekeeping in Area Of Responsibility (A.O.R).
• Maintain acceptable attendance.
• Willingness to learn new tasks/jobs.
• Be self-motivated when not given a specific task.
• Fork truck operation.
• Take direction from lead man or supervisors.
• Maintain time keeping documentation.
• Wear required PPE.

What We Do
