Job summary

The University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for the RoeGreen Theatre Venue Manager. This role leads operations and management of the theatre during external rentals, coordinating with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival and the Department of Theatre & Dance to ensure events run smoothly and safely.

The Venue Manager supervises staff, liaises with rental clients and campus resources, and maintains facilities during events.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team and overseeing venue operations.

• Strong customer service and client-relations skills.
• Experience with emergency procedures for a theatre venue.

Responsibilities

• Work onsite in the University Theatre building during scheduled hours for rental events to provide rental client access to venue and facilities.
• Liaise between rental clients and other users of the University Theatre building.
• Maintain excellent customer relationships through prompt and professional communication.
• Serve as the point person with first responders in the event of an emergency, providing swift access to fire panels, sensors, and building infrastructure.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for coordination of campus resources supporting the Roe Green Theatre during rental events.
• Lead venue staff for rental events, including scheduling and training.
• Ensure that all venue policies and procedures are followed, including health and safety regulations.
• Provide regular reporting for rental events to the Department of Theatre & Dance, the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, and other campus entities.
• Work with building proctors to submit service requests during rental events for maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure the venue is secured during and after each call.
