Responsibilities

• Determine quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions.
• Review blueprints or specifications to determine work requirements.
• Place and secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms, using wire and pliers.
• Cut rods to required lengths using gas power saw, bar cutters, or acetylene torches.
• Bend steel rods with hand tools or rod-bending machines.
• Lifting over 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Travel may be required.
• Adhere to FABco safety rules and policies.
• Inventory materials as required.

Level: Experienced, Job Location: COLORADO - DENVER - DENVER, CO 80239, Position Type: Temporary, Job Category: Skilled Labor - Trades, Position and secure steel bars or mesh in concrete forms in order to reinforce concrete. Use a variety of fasteners, rod-bending machines, blowtorches, and hand tools.

• Determine quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions
• Review blueprints or specifications to determine work requirements
• Space and fasten together rods in forms according to blueprints, using wire and pliers
• Position and secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms, using wire and pliers
• Position and secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms, using wire and pliers
• Cut rods to required lengths, using gas power saw, bar cutters, or acetylene torches
• Cut metal components for installation
• Place blocks under rebar to hold the bars off the deck when reinforcing floors
• Position safety or support equipment
• Cut and fit wire mesh or welded wire fabric in concrete to reinforce concrete
• Cut metal components for installation
• Bend steel rods with hand tools or rod-bending machines
• Some travel may be required
