Job summary

Petroleum Marketing Group is seeking a Store Associate to greet customers, handle the register, and maintain daily store tasks to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

Ideal candidates are dependable with cash handling experience, able to work flexible schedules, and capable of lifting, standing and bending as part of routine store duties in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation may be required.
• Flexibility in scheduling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide an exceptional experience on an ongoing basis.
• Operate cash register and manage cash handling, lottery, and shift paperwork as per standards.
• Execute daily store tasks with speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Perform merchandising and stock duties on the sales floor and cooler areas.
• Coordinate vendor check-ins and communicate issues to management.
• Adhere to PMG safety and operational policies and procedures.
• Support management with additional tasks as assigned.
• Assist with exterior and interior cleaning.

Description

Candidate meets and exceeds customer expectations on an ongoing basis. To ensure every customer has been provided an exceptional experience, candidate must work with their team members and provide support to Management, to complete all store level tasks related to customer service, merchandising, daily cleaning, cash register duties, and other related tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide an exceptional experience on an ongoing basis
• Operate cash register, according to PMG standards, surrounding cash handling, record keeping, lottery management, and shift paperwork
• Execute daily store tasks with speed, accuracy, and efficiency
• Sales Floor Merchandising/Stocking
• Cooler Merchandising
• Vendor Check-Ins
• Communication of daily issues/challenges with Management
• Ensure PMG policies and procedures surrounding Safety and Operational Excellence are executed
• Perform work with Integrity, Honesty, and Respect
• Support Management with other assigned tasks
• Exterior/Interior Cleaning

Requirements

Education

• *Preferred* High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or currently enrolled in high school; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
