Job summary

Nammo Energetics Inc. in Perry, Florida, is building a new solid rocket motor manufacturing facility and seeks an Electrical Controls Engineer to help develop and support automation systems. You will work on PLCs, HMIs, and control panels for advanced production lines.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical/Controls/Mechatronics and 3+ years in industrial automation, with the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience supporting industrial automation or manufacturing controls systems.
• Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment.
• In-depth understanding of electrical schematics, control panels, and industrial automation systems.
• Experience working with PLCs and HMIs.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical control system design and implementation.
• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment.
• Support automated and semi-automated production systems.
• Assist with HMI development, machine integration, and controls troubleshooting.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, throughput, efficiency, and safety.
• Support commissioning, startup, and validation of new equipment.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Manufacturing, Process, and Quality Engineering teams.
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for controls-related issues.
