Job summary

School of Rock Rockland is seeking a Vocal Instructor to lead private lessons and student ensembles at our Rockland location. You will design engaging curricula, coach performance, and help students grow in technique and stage presence.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of teaching or performing music, strong knowledge of music theory, and excellent communication with families. A positive, reliable role model, you will uphold our Code of Conduct and safety policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of teaching and/or performing music professionally.
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
• Strong customer relations and communication skills.
• Organized, patient, and solution-oriented.
• Active working musician with formal music school training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide private lessons and ensemble coaching with high-quality instruction.
• Create and document thoughtful lesson plans.
• Maintain regular communication with parents about student progress.
• Be present in school during lessons and rehearsals and assist with basic maintenance.
• Adhere to the School of Rock Code of Conduct and safety policies.
