Job summary

Lippert Components in Chicago, IL is seeking a Welding Robot Operator for Freedman by Lippert. You will load and unload parts from automated welding fixtures, operate robotic welding equipment, and perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.

This full-time, first-shift role (6:00am–2:30pm) requires reading blueprints, using CAD drawings, and maintaining production records. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings.
• Must have basic math, reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload workpieces into robotic welding fixtures and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Start, operate, monitor, and adjust robotic welding machines to maintain production requirements.
• Follow written work instructions, quality standards, and production specifications to ensure product conformance.
• Perform visual inspections of welds and finished parts to identify defects, inconsistencies, or quality issues.
• Test completed workpieces as required to verify weld integrity and compliance with quality requirements.
• Remove defective parts from production and report quality concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records as required.
• Ensure proper positioning and securing of parts in welding fixtures prior to initiating automated welding cycles.
