Oshkosh Corporation’s JLG division is seeking a Robotic Programming/Welding Intern for Summer 2027 in McConnellsburg, PA. This role supports robot operation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting within fabrication teams on the first shift.

The intern will assist with fixture design, welding programming, and project coordination involving robotics and capital equipment. A related degree is required, with offline programming experience valued.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in weld engineering, robotics, mechatronics, programming, engineering or a related field.
  • Background in fabrication and exposure to manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with offline programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate robots, train others, and observe robots in operation.
  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing group regarding robot programming and tooling.
  • Assist with fixture design, development, and maintenance.
  • Design welding programs to ensure correct welds and improve operations.
  • Identify and coordinate robot-related projects (new technology, capital equipment).
  • Read blueprints, interpret symbols and assemblies, and perform failure analysis.
