Job summary

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Robot Teleoperator in the United States to produce high-quality demonstration data by teleoperating robotic arms and humanoid robots with VR headsets and motion controllers.

You will operate in a laboratory environment, follow safety protocols, monitor sessions for quality, report failures, and help improve data collection pipelines while meeting productivity targets on 8-hour shifts in a 24/7 facility.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have strong manual dexterity and precise hand–eye coordination.
• Ability to perform repetitive, precise work reliably and report issues clearly.
• Comfort with VR headsets, motion controllers, and similar teleoperation interfaces.
• Good communication to relay hardware or software problems.
• Willingness to work across rotating 8-hour shifts in a 24/7 facility.

Responsibilities

• Teleoperate robotic manipulators and humanoid robots in real time with precise 1:1 control.
• Maintain data collection quality across manipulation tasks such as pick-and-place, sorting, or light assembly.
• Monitor sessions, track quality, and flag hardware or software issues.
• Follow safety protocols and lab procedures; report failures and suggest improvements.
• Support continuity by troubleshooting and coordinating with teams.
