Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is building a robotics technician network with Mattawan area manufacturers. This role focuses on programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting robotic systems with opportunities across Michigan’s manufacturing region.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in industrial robotics, knowledge of electrical schematics, and experience with robot programming and safety standards. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Read electrical schematics, ladder logic, and robot program code.
• Experience with common robot brands and teach pendants.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout and machine guarding standards.
• Comfort with basic hand tools, multimeters, and mechanical adjustments.
• Associate degree or technical certificate in robotics or mechatronics.
• Two or more years of hands-on robotics experience in a plant.

Responsibilities

• Set up and start up robotic welding and assembly cells at shift start.
• Monitor robot cycles and adjust programs as parts change.
• Perform daily safety checks on robots, guarding, and light curtains.
• Troubleshoot faults and recover robots after stops or alarms.
• Teach and touch up points on existing robot programs.
• Replace and align end-of-arm tooling, grippers, and weld tips.
• Log downtime, repairs, and program changes in maintenance records.
• Support production and maintenance during changeovers and trials.

Salary Range: $55,000 – $87,000 depending on experience

• Ability to weld or fabricate simple fixtures.


• Prior work in automotive or Tier 1 supplier manufacturing.


• Experience with robotic welding, painting, or machine tending cells.


• Familiarity with PLCs and vision systems.
