Job summary

Corning's Environmental Technologies segment seeks a hands-on technician to provide robotic and automation support for production equipment in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment. The role focuses on Fanuc robots in automation cells, vision systems, and related peripherals, with involvement in developing new processes on existing lines and on new lines as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher required.
• 0-5 years of experience supporting electrical and control systems (internship considered).
• General understanding of electrical design practices, PLCs, control systems, and robotic integration.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, matrixed team environment.
• Self-starter able to manage priorities and meet timelines with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a customer-focused, results-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring, diagnosing and resolving equipment issues; support for process/equipment improvement initiatives as necessary.
• Initiate and maintain relationships with engineering, operations and maintenance groups to understand problems and provide solutions.
• Work utilizing plant & division electrical controls standards; serve as a technical resource for deviations and managing changes when resolving problems.
• Individual must be capable of executing assignments, in a team-based environment, with minimal supervision.
• Hours of work: 8 hr. Day Shift Monday-Friday, with flex hours required to achieve plant objectives.
