Job summary

ICON is seeking a Systems Engineer at our Austin, TX office to support hands-on development of ICON's TitanTeam robotic platforms, delivering robust, maintainable systems. You will work with senior engineers on design, integration, and lifecycle activities, and help translate requirements into verifiable test plans and documentation.

Prototyping, CAD work in SolidWorks, and cross-functional collaboration are key. Willingness to travel and thrive in a fast-paced startup is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in a relevant engineering field with 3+ years’ experience, or a Master’s with 1+ year.
• Prototyping hardware and software; able to transition to DFM and productization on tight timelines.
• Experience on engineering development teams and meeting milestones.
• Strong collaboration and first-principles problem solving in cross-functional teams.
• Experience with industrial automation or robotics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, integration, and lifecycle management of systems under guidance of senior engineers.
• Develop and refine measurable requirements; log validation tests and inspections into RTM.
• Contribute to system architecture that meets requirements with peer review.
• Design, assemble, and test prototypes; specify instrumentation for R&D.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and manufacturing support in an AGILE environment.
• Create CAD designs in SolidWorks and SolidWorks Electrical Schematic.
• Move between office and field work as needed.
