Job Description: Robotics System Application Engineer
Company Overview

Our client is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of advanced industrial robots and automated systems.

The Robotics System Application Engineer leads the activity of developing, testing, and maintaining robotics systems specifically designed for the semiconductor industry. You will serve as the primary technical expert for these systems, guiding cross-functional teams and supporting customers from prototype design through initial system start-up.

  • Respond to customer requests regarding robotic system applications for the semiconductor industry.
  • Serve as the technical focal point for the company's robotic systems. Respond to technical inquiries from both internal and external customers.
  • Lead prototype design projects. Provide technical guidance to the mechanical, electrical, software, and prototype teams to complete system applications within committed timelines.
  • Provide field support at customers' sites for initial system start-up, which includes domestic and/or overseas travel.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of technical experience working on semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with 3D and 2D CAD software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts in presentation format.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
Preferred:
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering position within the robotics, automation, or semiconductor industry.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial robots and related software.
  • Experience with equipment operation in a semiconductor fab environment.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to sit, stand, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
  • Ability to use common mechanical tools including but not limited to screwdrivers, hex keys, and torque wrenches.
  • Consistent attendance is a requirement of this position.
  • Location: San Jose, CA, US (On-site)
  • Salary Range: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 Annually
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future visa sponsorship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
