Job summary

Milwaukee School of Engineering invites applications for a Robotics and Community Programs Lead to join our STEM Center team. This role oversees afterschool, evening and weekend programming in robotics, coding, and engineering, and leads the FIRST community and ambassadors programs to engage Milwaukee area schools.

The position requires evening/weekend availability, local travel, and a passion for hands-on experiential learning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or education preferred.
• Proven experience mentoring and teaching K-12 or collegiate students.
• Requires frequent travel locally, occasional travel outside Milwaukee.
• Evening and weekend availability per the program schedule; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead afterschool, evening and summer programming in robotics, coding, engineering and making.
• Oversee FIRST FRC Community team and manage budget and youth protection policies.
• Lead MSOE FIRST Ambassadors program and partner with FIRST Wisconsin initiatives.
• Coordinate communication with schools, mentors and partners; track program metrics.
