Job summary

Nimble Robotics in San Francisco seeks a software engineer to design, develop, and maintain the application systems, integrations, and orchestration that enable robots to operate reliably in production environments.

You will push code to production, build integrations with robot platforms, APIs, services, and data systems, and contribute to scalable, fault-tolerant software while collaborating with robotics, ML, and product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• 2–4 years of production-level coding in C++, Python, or Rust.
• Demonstrated experience or knowledge of distributed systems, backend services, API design, CI/CD, AWS, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain application systems, integrations, and orchestration for robotic operations.
• Coordinate robot behaviors, manage system state, and integrate with enterprise systems.
• Push and maintain code in production for robot coordination and workflows.
• Lead or contribute to design reviews, code reviews, and technical planning.
