Job summary

Skild AI is seeking a versatile Robotics Software Engineer to develop software for navigation, planning and controls, SLAM, manipulation, and perception. You will collaborate with researchers and ML engineers to integrate state-of-the-art models into our robots.

The role requires production-level C++ and Python coding, deployment on real robots, and cross-site collaboration to ensure robust, scalable robotic systems. Join a team pushing advanced robotics forward.

Qualifications

  • BS, MS or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency developing in C++ or Python.
  • Prior experience developing and deploying software on real robots.
  • Strong systems-level understanding of software modules/interfaces in robotic apps.
  • Experience with ROS/ROS2 or other robotics middleware platforms.
  • Familiarity with ML integration in robotic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and test software for navigation, planning, control, SLAM, perception, manipulation, and high-level behaviors.
  • Write and maintain production-level C++ and Python code for robotic platforms.
  • Collaborate with ML engineers/researchers to deploy models on robots.
  • Deploy and monitor robotic solutions at various sites with deployment/test engineers.
  • Continuously improve and optimize robotic software for performance, reliability, and scalability.
