Job summary

Foundation Robotics Labs Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to advance tactile/hand-sensor technology in a hands-on, in-person role in San Francisco.

You will contribute to sensor integration, embedded system design, and close collaboration with silicon partners to push the boundaries of robotic sensing. The position emphasizes practical engineering, high reliability, and a strong drive to deliver best-in-class hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with sensor integration (IMUs, force/tactile sensors) and power electronics.
• Strong debugging skills with test instruments and EM/EMC familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Develop new custom force and tactile sensors for robotics with tight size and reliability requirements.
• Design and evaluate embedded systems and mixed-signal circuits (MCUs, FPGAs, sensors, power).
• Collaborate with silicon partners to evaluate chips and integrate tactile sensors.
• Drive DFx improvements and ensure manufacturability and testability.
