Job summary

Weave, based in San Francisco, is building home robotics with security at the core. As a Senior Security Engineer, you’ll own product security across embedded devices, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and mobile apps, shaping secure architectures and shipping fixes on real-world robots.

You’ll work hands-on with engineers to threat-model, identify vulnerabilities, and develop tooling for automated security testing, incident response, and secure deployment practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years securing connected products, embedded systems, robotics, or IoT.
• Strong Linux security knowledge, including containers and hardening.
• Experience securing APIs, backends, and mobile apps; familiarity with OWASP Top 10.
• Proficient in Python, C++, Go, or Rust; able to build security tooling.
• Hands-on security testing: code review, fuzzing, pentesting, tooling.
• Experience with threat modeling and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Own product security across robots, apps, backend, and infrastructure.
• Lead threat modeling and secure design reviews for hardware and software.
• Secure device identity, boot/updates, firmware, embedded Linux, and interfaces.
• Secure cloud and application layers, including APIs and auth systems.
• Perform security testing and build automated tooling.
• Develop logging, monitoring, and incident response capabilities.
• Raise the security bar by educating engineers and establishing standards.
