Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Process Owner - Robotics Programmer to lead and optimize robotic programming for shell and ACME grinding processes in our manufacturing operations. You will develop, validate, and maintain station-specific programs and parameters, ensuring compliance with specifications and driving improvements in quality, safety, and productivity.

The role requires strong background in ABB RAPID and FANUC systems, PLC ladder logic, and experience with robotic grinding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with ABB RAPID and FANUC robotic systems.
• Familiarity with robotic grinding or automated finishing operations.

Responsibilities

• Own and support robotic programming processes for shell and ACME grinding operations.
• Develop, validate, approve, and maintain part-specific robotic programs and process parameters.
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with internal standards and customer specifications.
• Monitor critical process controls and lead root cause investigations for nonconformities.
• Develop and optimize grinding methods, tooling strategies, and parameters to improve quality and efficiency.
• Support automation projects from specification to production implementation.
• Create technical requirements for new robotic equipment and manufacturing systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to implement best practices.
• Analyze data to drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvements.
• Develop process documentation, work instructions, and training materials.
• Provide training for robotic programming and grinding; backup programmer for CNC/EDM as needed.
