Job summary

Persona AI in Houston, TX is seeking a Precision Assembler to hand-fabricate and assemble robotic hands and end effectors. Work at bench under magnification, assembling finger, thumb, and wrist mechanisms from precision components.

You will follow engineering drawings, apply adhesives and lubricants, torque fasteners, and verify parts against specifications using gauges. Overtime is paid at 1.5x and on-site required.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated fine-motor precision work with hands.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends at overtime rate.

Responsibilities

• Assemble finger, thumb, and wrist mechanisms from engineering drawings.
• Route and pre-tension drive tendons and cables.
• Assemble miniature gearheads and actuator units with matched sets.
• Torque miniature fasteners with calibrated low-range torque drivers.
• Verify hand parts against acceptance criteria using gauges.
• Record build data and traceability in shop records.
• Flag parts or steps that don’t work and seek fixes.
