Job summary

AP Health in Jupiter, FL seeks an experienced Physician Assistant to join our surgical team as a Surgical First Assistant in robotic procedures. This is a strictly surgical position with no clinic time, requiring 2+ years of robotics-assisted surgery and NCCPA certification.

You will assist in the operating room, position and drape patients, suturing and tissue retraction, and support intra-operative care. Florida license and BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience functioning as a surgical first assistant in robotics.
• Current Florida State License.
• Board certified by NCCPA.
• Active BLS and ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Function as Surgical First Assistant in the Operating Room.
• Position and drape the patient under the direction of the surgeon.
• Suturing and retracting of all tissue layers.
• Assists in the intra-operative care of the patient by performing technical duties as assigned.
• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations.
• Rotating on-call responsibilities.

Location: Jupiter, FL AP Health is a private practice comprised of advanced practice providers. We provide perioperative services to hospitals, surgeons, and surgery centers. We partner with facilities to offer service line coverage with highly trained and knowledgeable Advanced Practice Providers to first assist in surgery.

AP Health is seeking a highly experienced Physician Assistant to join our team in the greater Jupiter, FL area. A successful candidate would have at least 2+ years of experience in robotic surgery. This job is strictly a surgical only position with no clinic time. This is an exciting opportunity to join a distinguished team that delivers top tier care.

What Will You Do

What Do You Need
