Job summary

Gritt is seeking a Robotics Perception Engineer Intern for the SF Bay Area (in-person) to develop perception components on real robot data and contribute to live robot stacks.

You will build datasets, run experiments, and demo your modules, with mentorship and opportunities to publish for PhD interns; internships can be 3 or 6 months, offering competitive salaries and a chance to impact climate-related infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Pursuing MS/PhD in CS, EE, Robotics, or related field.
• Strong Python skills and PyTorch; knowledge of CV fundamentals.
• Evidence of applied work via projects, competitions, publications, or robotics experience.
• Capable of owning tasks with light supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Legally authorized to intern in the United States for 3 or 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate perception components on real robot data.
• Build datasets and evaluation harnesses; run experiments and report results.
• Integrate module into live robot stack and demo it.
• Gain hands-on with pose estimation, VLMs, VLAs, 3D scene reconstruction, and multimodal learning.
• Test your work on real robots at the office.
• Opportunity to publish (for PhD interns).
• Attend Tier-1 industry conferences.
