Role Overview

Intepros' valued client is in need of a talented Robotics Specialist!! This is a Hybrid role in Manhattan, NY.

The ideal candidate is technically curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with VR systems, gaming-style controls, and physical robotics environments. This role directly contributes to AI model training and the development of real-world robotic behaviors through high-quality data collection and operational support.

Responsibilities
  • Teleoperate humanoid robots to perform tabletop and two-handed manual tasks such as moving objects, folding clothes, cooking, and other dexterous activities
  • Operate robots using VR headsets and controller-based systems while following established SOPs
  • Support active robotics sessions by creating environments, testing task feasibility, and ensuring smooth robot operation
  • Annotate collected data and episodes with accurate metadata for AI training purposes
  • Monitor robot performance and document bugs, issues, timestamps, logs, screenshots, and task context
  • Maintain detailed records of completed workflows, robot behaviors, and operational outcomes
  • Provide feedback on robot equipment performance and operational reliability
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and submit detailed support tickets to internal teams
  • Collaborate closely with researchers, engineers, leadership, and operational stakeholders
  • Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines within lab environments
  • Support process improvement initiatives and workflow optimization efforts
  • Utilize multiple software systems and operational tools to track tasks and session outcomes

Required Qualifications
  • Experience working with Linux-based systems
  • Experience using VR headsets and immersive technology platforms
  • Experience with gaming systems, gamepad joysticks, or controller-based technical environments
  • Technical troubleshooting experience with the ability to document issues clearly and accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, crouching, and performing repetitive physical tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to wear equipment weighing up to 30 lbs and lift up to 10 lbs during operational tasks
  • Strong hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and body awareness
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Associate’s Degree required
  • 2+ years of customer service or high-volume operational experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
