Job summary

Generalist AI, Inc. is seeking an experienced ML infrastructure engineer to own and optimize GPU compute fleets for large-scale experiments and inference. You will work with on-prem GPUs, Nvidia stack, and orchestration tools to maximize researcher productivity in tightly distributed environments.

You will lead data loading pipelines, storage, and networking layers, ensuring low latency and high throughput for training and inference workloads across distributed clusters.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large fleets of GPUs for distributed training or inference.
• Deep expertise with Slurm or Kubernetes for ML workloads.
• Built high-scale ML data loaders and preparation systems.
• Thorough understanding of ML hardware, storage, and networking stacks.
• Experience with NVIDIA GPU ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Own our GPU compute fleets and ensure high utilization.
• Make GPUs easy for researchers to use.
• Optimize ML data loading, transport, and storage in distributed environments.
• Coordinate orchestration of ML inference fleets.
