Job summary

Autonomous Solutions, Inc. (ASI) seeks a Mechanical Engineer to research, plan, design, test and optimize mechanical and electromechanical systems for our robotic unmanned vehicles.

You will collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver robust, safe, and efficient solutions. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of mechanical design experience, proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Pro-E, Catia), and knowledge of FEA, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 3-5 years mechanical engineering experience.
• Proficient with SolidWorks, Pro-E, or Catia.
• Experience with finite element analysis.
• Familiar with GD&T.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Researching and analyzing data including customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
• Designing products or systems for robotic control using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic principles and components.
• Participating in fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
• Coordinating operation, maintenance, and repair activities that optimize utilization of machines and equipment.
• Designing products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software.
• Contributing to design reviews.
