Job summary

Terranova, Inc. seeks a Lab Intern to support engineering in testing and iterating robotic systems for climate resilience. You’ll work hands-on in the lab, run experiments, maintain rigs, and log data to help translate designs into working hardware.

You should be pursuing a bachelor's or higher in a science/engineering field, with lab experience and comfort in a startup pace. Fall internship with relocation perks is available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field is required or in progress.
  • Prior hands-on wet lab experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with data logging and basic analysis tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, run, and monitor lab experiments and hardware tests.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab equipment and test rigs.
  • Collect, organize, and log test data and summarize results for engineers.
  • Assist with prototyping, assembly, and basic fabrication of hardware components.
  • Support validation testing as systems move from bench to field.
  • Document lab procedures, test setups, and findings for the team.
  • Follow lab safety protocols and keep the workspace organized.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
