Job summary

Amazon is offering Robotics Hardware Development Intern/Co-op opportunities in 2026 across multiple locations, including the Boston area. Interns work full-time from office locations, typically 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday, on hardware-focused projects with mentoring from experienced engineers.

Interns should be pursuing relevant engineering degrees and have hands-on hardware development, testing, and documentation experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Pursuing Bachelor's, Master's, or higher in Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related STEM fields.
• Knowledge of hardware engineering fundamentals in mechanical, electrical, hardware test, reliability, or manufacturing.
• Experience with hardware design, development, and testing.
• Experience with hardware tools and methods (e.g. 3D CAD).

Responsibilities

• Complete project tasks with a team of interns and Amazon engineers.
• Use Amazon engineering tools and processes.
• Prototype and test concepts or features.
• Track progress of task deliverables.
• Develop and maintain design documentation.
• Present information to managers and engineers.
