Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking an innovative Solutions Design Engineer to help design our next generation robotic fulfillment centers. You will evaluate physical processing and material handling solutions, analyze metrics, and coordinate with systems and operations teams while managing multiple projects and influencing stakeholders.

The role requires a strong problem-solving mindset, ownership mindset, and the ability to communicate across levels in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Experience in Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related work.
Experience in management of engineering design projects.
Knowledge of system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making.

Responsibilities

Design robotic warehouses and facilities
Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal partners
Develop a deep understanding of the AR system, hardware and software, and ensure you are aware of changes and how these might impact customers
Develop, document and update design standards in conjunction with the wider AR solutions teams
