Job summary

Figure is seeking a Firmware Engineer Intern for Winter 2027 to help bring robots to life by supporting board bring-up, firmware feature development, and test execution. You will work on motor controllers, battery management, and sensing hardware, while also building Python tools for tests and calibration.

You will gain hands-on experience with low-level software on bare-metal/RTOS, hardware integration in the lab, and exposure to CI/CD workflows across hardware projects during a 10+ week

Qualifications

• Undergraduate senior or recent grad in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Fluent in C, C++, and Python.
• Experience with bare-metal/RTOS systems.

Responsibilities

• Support board bring-up and firmware features development.
• Validate firmware and assist with integration and testing.
• Develop Python tools to support test automation or hardware calibration.
• Contribute to CI/CD infrastructure and hardware/software integration in the lab.
