More than 542,000 industrial robots were installed worldwide in 2024, according to the International Federation of Robotics. As manufacturers continue investing in automation, engineers who can program, troubleshoot, and optimize these systems are becoming increasingly valuable.
We're looking for an experienced Robotics Engineer who knows what happens beyond the programming screen.
Someone who can walk onto a manufacturing floor, diagnose why a robotic cell isn't performing, identify the problem, and develop a solution that improves production.
This is a hands‑on engineering opportunity supporting sophisticated robotic systems used in aerospace and defense manufacturing. You'll work directly with FANUC robotics, industrial controls, automated equipment, and cross‑functional engineering teams to improve reliability, precision, and manufacturing performance.
FANUC Robotics: Develop, modify, and troubleshoot robot programs, teach pendant operations, motion sequences, and automated production processes.
Automation Integration: Support robotic welding cells, automated assembly equipment, machine tending, material handling, and vision‑guided applications.
Controls & Troubleshooting: Diagnose PLC, HMI, sensor, servo, electrical, communication, and motion‑control issues.
Manufacturing Improvements: Identify opportunities to reduce equipment downtime, improve cycle times, and increase process repeatability.
New Equipment & Product Launches: Participate in robotic cell commissioning, equipment startups, factory acceptance testing, and new product introduction.
Engineering Collaboration: Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Production, and Maintenance to resolve complex technical challenges.
Process Reliability: Support root cause investigations, corrective actions, robotic program backups, and technical documentation.
We're especially interested in engineers who have personally programmed, integrated, and troubleshot industrial robotic systems in an active manufacturing environment.
5+ years of hands‑on industrial robotics programming and troubleshooting experience.
Strong FANUC robotics experience, including teach pendant programming, fault diagnosis, and robotic system optimization.
Bachelor's degree from an ABET‑accredited university in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, industrial sensors, servo drives, motion controls, and automation networks.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, PLC logic, control drawings, and technical documentation.
Experience diagnosing automation problems in a production environment.
Robotic welding and automated manufacturing cells.
FANUC robotics or industrial controls certifications.
Vision systems, machine tending, or automated assembly integration.
Equipment commissioning, FAT, and production startups.
Aerospace, defense, automotive, or other precision manufacturing environments.
Experience improving robotic cycle times, equipment reliability, or manufacturing throughput.
Real engineering ownership. You'll do more than maintain existing programs. You'll help solve equipment challenges, improve robotic processes, and support the integration of automated manufacturing systems.
Work that demands precision. Aerospace and defense manufacturing requires exceptional attention to quality, consistency, and reliability.
Hands‑on technical challenges. From diagnosing intermittent robotic faults to improving automation sequences, this position offers opportunities to apply engineering expertise directly on the manufacturing floor.
Cross‑functional exposure. Work alongside manufacturing, quality, maintenance, and engineering professionals on projects that directly impact production performance.
This is an onsite manufacturing engineering position requiring regular interaction with robotic equipment and production systems.
Candidates should be comfortable working around industrial machinery, wearing required PPE, standing or walking for extended periods, and occasionally lifting up to 35 pounds.
If you're the engineer people call when a FANUC robot goes down, a production cell isn't performing, or an automation problem needs a real solution, we'd like to hear from you.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to fair and inclusive hiring practices.
