Job summary

Infi Robotics, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, designs and builds autonomous factory cells to turn designs into finished products for hardware startups and growing companies.

You will develop repeatable robotic workflows, integrate arms, cameras, and force sensors, and optimize task success and cycle time on the factory floor with safe operation and robust recovery.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and debugging physical robots or automation systems.
• Depth in manipulation, controls, perception, teleoperation, or robot learning.
• Strong Python and C++ programming and debugging skills in a Linux environment.
• Good experimental judgment: isolate failures, measure results, and favor reliable solutions.

About Infi Robotics

Infi’s mission is to unlock physical abundance and reindustrialize America by building the Universal Factory: a fully autonomous, general-purpose factory that can turn any design into a finished product.

We are a robotics-native contract manufacturer helping hardware companies scale from prototype to production at our factory in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our initial focus is automated assembly for robots, drones, and other intelligent hardware.

The role

Build robotic cells that reliably assemble products and learn new tasks from human demonstrations. You will work across manipulation, teleoperation, perception, control, and hardware integration, choosing practical approaches for the parts and products we need to build. Your goal is to make these systems work reliably on the factory floor, detect problems, and recover safely.

What you’ll do

What you’ll bring

• Hands-on experience building and debugging physical robots or automation systems, with clear ownership beyond a controlled demo.

• Depth in manipulation, controls, perception, teleoperation, or robot learning, plus an understanding of calibration, coordinate frames, and kinematics.

• Strong Python and C++ programming and debugging skills, or comparable robotics systems experience, in a Linux environment.

• Good experimental judgment: isolate failures, measure results, and favor reliable solutions. ROS, force control, imitation learning, VLA models, and end-effector design are useful additional experience.
