IFG - International Financial Group in Redmond, WA is seeking an experienced AI Engineer – Robotics to push forward robotic learning and VLA models, with hands-on work across simulation and hardware.

You will build and refine pipelines in Azure Machine Learning, work with PyTorch, ROS2, and diffusion/reinforcement learning methods, and contribute to production systems in an agile research environment.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in CS/CE/Robotics or related field.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong Python programming experience (5+ years).
  • Hands-on experience with PyTorch (2+ years).
  • Experience with ROS2 (1+ year).
  • Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Experience with robotic hardware and/or simulation environments.
  • Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Familiarity with Vision-Language-Action models, diffusion models, or RL policies is desirable.
  • PhD-level research experience or robotics lab experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

Are you passionate about Embodied AI, Robotics, and Foundation Models? We’re looking for an experienced AI Engineer – Robotics to join an innovative research team working to advance the state of the art in robotic learning.

In this role, you’ll work on cutting-edge research involving robotic learning, Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models, simulation environments, robotic hardware, and machine learning systems.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop, fine-tune, and improve sophisticated AI and machine learning solutions.
  • Build training and evaluation pipelines using Azure Machine Learning.
  • Analyze and refine datasets for robotic and AI applications.
  • Develop tools for rapid deployment of novel algorithms in both simulation and physical hardware environments.
  • Integrate robotic control and perception stacks with simulation frameworks.
  • Work with robotic hardware, robotic arms, or simulation environments.
  • Train and evaluate robotic learning models, including VLA models, diffusion models, and reinforcement learning policies.
  • Build and maintain test automation infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and improve both new and existing production systems.
What We’re Looking For
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong Python programming experience (5+ years).
  • Hands‑on experience with PyTorch (2+ years).
  • Experience with ROS2 (1+ year).
  • Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Experience with robotic hardware and/or simulation environments.

  • Familiarity with robotic learning models such as Vision‑Language‑Action models, diffusion models, or reinforcement learning policies is highly desirable.
  • PhD-level research experience or experience working in a robotics research lab is a strong plus.
