Job summary

Delkor Systems, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a packaging machinery assembler. You will perform machine assembly, review drawings in SolidWorks, and contribute to continuous improvement ideas for quality, safety, and cost reduction. You will also crate and ship machines and maintain 5S on the shop floor.

The role requires a two-year Automated Packaging degree or equivalent, plus internship experience in robotic system builds and hands-on tooling expertise. A fast-paced environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Two-year Automated Packaging degree or equivalent.
• Robotic System Build Tech Internship completed.
• Experience with pneumatic and electrical tools, grinders, band saws, sanders, lifting devices, drills and related hand tools.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting machine drawings and layouts.
• Ability to navigate SolidWorks drawings to identify assembly issues.

Responsibilities

• Performs the assembly process of machines including formers, closers, and assists in the assembly of loaders and special machines.
• Navigates SolidWorks models and drawings to determine problems and clarify the build process.
• Completes a Production Concerns request when discrepancies are discovered.
• Completes an Engineering Change Request (ECR) for machine continuous improvement ideas.
• Returns stock parts on machine build/machine checkout properly.
• Assists with crating, and shipment of machines.
• Performs other tasks or duties as assigned.
• Wears PPE and follows safety procedures; contributes to 5S and workspace organization.
